Who are we?

  • Civil non profitable association registered in the ministry of solidarity under the number 1934 of the year 2004

  • The association involves a number of specialists in different categories of civil activities and human rights

  • The association is working towards a democratic society aware of it’s rights, constitutional and legal duties and able to defend it’s interests and to achieve the sovereignty of equality, freedom and justice.

  • The main target of the association is to spread the culture of human rights and to empower the citizen to be able to participate.

  • These targets will be fulfilled in a framework of focusing on marginalized groups and on gender mainstreaming in order to preparing the members and organizations of the community to participate in making democracy.

  • The association will implement it’s target through awareness programs, training, researches, studies, networking with the local and international civil associations and through partnership with all concerned parties.

 The association achieved many successes which are:

1.   Achieving the approval of People Assembly on implementing the program of enhancing the process of the parliamentary connection with the community

2.   Enabling the association to draft a guiding manual for the political parties in the frame work of the project of the mechanism of democratic construction of parties

3.   Succeeding in making reconciliation with different parties, in working with them and in  solving the funding related issues.

4.   Building relationships with international organizations based on trust in such short time

5.   Creating partnership with National Council for Youth and the National Council for Human Right in different projects

6.   Publishing some distinguished brochures on human rights and political participation

7.   Focusing on media through training more the 170 journalists

8.   Qualifying the women lawyers in the skills of  co working and the union participation and the public work in Upper Egypt

9.   Connecting with the active associations in the field of development and working on raising their awareness.

 

The association is distinguished with

1.   The association has a good reputation among the civil society organizations

2.   Being specialized in awareness, development and spreading the legal awareness in the community

3.   Giving an equal chance for all the staff members to improve their skills

4.   Involving a large variety of members regarding the age and gender

5.   Recruiting a number of specialists in the field of legal awareness

6.   Being the first association that made an agreement with the Egyptian People Assembly
