Training courses in the project : Series of training courses to build the capacity of the cadres of the project: - The first training was held from June 6th, 2008 to June 8th, 2008. The training was conducted by Mrs. Rabha Fathy, Mr. Negad Mohammed El-Borry. It addressed the following topics: § How to create an effective communication with media § The skills of communication and influence . - The second training was held from June 10th, 2008 to June 12th, 2008. The training was conducted by Mrs. Amal Mahmoud, Mrs. Rabha Fathy, and Dr. Ali El-Sawy. It addressed the following topics: § How to increase and activate women’s participation as well as empower them politically. § Preparing a training program aiming to provide technical support to female members of parliament. - The third training was held during June 17th, 2008 to June 19th, 2008. The training was conducted by Mr. Negad Mohammed El-Borry, Mr. Khaled Ali Abdo. It addressed the following topics: § How to prepare drafts of laws and how to submit them according to The system and procedures within the legislature § How to identify the social, political, economic issues. - The fourth training course was implemented during the period from 8th July 2008 till 10th July 2008 and the training covered the following topics: - Laws and legislations organizing the elected legislative structures. - Collecting information and data and analyzing them. The trainers were: - Noha Ahmed Salah - Khaled Ali Abdo - Rami Mohsen Mohamed Training courses to build the capacity of the assistants of women parliamentarians: 1- The first training course was held during the period from 31/7/2008 till 3/8/2008 and the training included the following topics: Ruling systems and the kinds of current parliaments. Relationship between the government and the parliament. The financial job The monitoring job and tools of monitoring. Monitoring tools notes. - The legislative job and the legislative process. - The legislative tools notes. - Procedures of public sessions and committees. How to prepare the council works tables and how to prepare the Parliament’s tables in order to support the parliament performance of the parliament’s members. 2- the Implementation of the second training course during the period of 10/8/2008 till 13/8/2008 and the training topics included the following: - Preparing researches and parliament studies. - Preparing and writing good reports. - Tools of collecting data and information. - How to analyze data and information. - Effective relation with media method. - Analyzing media coverage for female members (analyzing the contents of newspapers) 3- The implementation of the third training course in the period form 28/8/2008 till 31/8/2008 and the training included the following topics: - The real picture of political participation of the Egyptian woman. - Methods of activating the role of the female members in order to adopt the cases of gender. - The office of serving citizens, its role, its importance and organization and necessary data basis. - Opinion survey as a way of knowing the constituencies, its methods and analyzing its results. - Planning and forming alliances for the sake of serving the interests of voters. - Phases of defining the needs and their relationship of the society cases. Political, economic and political policies. Series of training courses to build the capacity of female members of the local people's councils: 1 - the first training course to build the capacity of female members of local people's councils, Giza Governorate during the period from 11/10/2008 to 13/10/2008. 2 - the second training course to build the capacity of female members of local people's councils, Cairo Governorate during the period from 18/10/2008 to 20/10/2008 3 - The third training course to build the capacity of female members of local people's councils, Dakahlia governorate during the period from 28/10/2008 to 30/10/2008 4 - The fourth training course to build the capacity of female members of local people's councils, Qaliubiya governorate during the period from 10/11/2008 to 12/11/2008 5 - the fifth training course to build the capacity of female members of local people's councils, El Wady El Gaded governorate during the period from 25/12/2008 to 27/12/2008 The training courses covered the following topics: • Egyptian political system and the location of the local people's council and their historical development. • laws and legislation governing the work of the elected People's Councils • The organizational structure of people's council and their relationship to the executive councils. • the regulatory roles of the People's Councils • the duties and roles of the member and the forms of immunity • how to identify community issues • impediments of the local action for women • mechanisms to activate the female members of the local councils within their communities. • ways to strengthen the role of women within the local people's councils The implementation of five workshops for the preparation of plans to ensure the continuity of the active performance for female members of the local people's councils: EADDLA has implemented 5 workshops for the female members of local people's council at the targeted governorates targeted to work on the preparation of action plans to ensure the continuity the active performance for female members of the local people's councils; as the follows : 1 - The first workshop for female members of local councils, in Giza, from 7/1 / 2009 until 8/1/ 2009 2 - The second workshop for members of local councils in Cairo, from 1-24-2009 until 1-25-2009 3 - The third workshop for female members of local councils, in Qulibya during the period from 1-26-2009 until 1-27-2009 4 - The fourth workshop for female members of local councils, in Dakahlia during the period of / 2 / 2009 and up / 2 / 2009 5 - Fifth Workshop for female members of local councils,in El Wady El Gaded during the period from 3-25-2009 until 3-26-2009. The workshops dealt with the following steps: • identify the problems faced by women in local communities and the concerned parties with the problems • identify the most important solutions and activities to address the problems • identify the key elements of the plans and its priorities • the preparation of plans to address community problems • the preparation of plans to address problems relating to local councils The implementation of a workshop for the female deputies of Egyptian parliament , for the preparation of the perception on the issues which will be addressed by the female members in the EADDLA implemented a workshop for the female deputies of Egyptian parliament , are : - Dr. Gorget Killeny – member of people council - Professor. The workshop concluded with deliver Mr. Ahmed Mohsen – the chairperson of EADDLA; the shield of the national council for women for the effective role played in supported women issues within the legislatives entities . |
